Being vegan is a bold, brave statement to the world. In fact, there is no declaration of intent more compelling than that of veganism. Nothing comes close. It is a commitment to saving the animals, saving human health and saving the planet.
So wearing a vegan statement in a t-shirt is a great way to promote that. By doing so, you’re re helping to keep the world’s growing vegan message loud, proud and out there.
We all know that this is a very noisy world with many millions of competing messages, built on a seemingly endless number of media platforms, all demanding our attention. With the rise of social media, anyone can be both their own editor and publisher to shout out whatever message they may have.
While many of us are caught up with social media and 24 / 7 television culture to a greater or lesser extent, what really counts is that people are still fascinated by other people. When we put down our ‘phones and tablets and venture back out into reality, back out into the real world, we like to put on our best gear – because what we wear is a declaration to the world and those watching of what we are.
And here’s the secret psychological deal. Humans generally respond best to brief bursts of words at first point of contact. It’s why newspaper headlines are as short as they are and why social media like Twitter is as successful as it is.
The American Declaration of Independence was a literary work of art. But on a t-shirt, maybe not so. Conversely, the shout out of “America’s now free!” grabs your attention right from the get-go.
An effective statement, point of view or announcement should impact with a minimalist word count focus – just like a super-cool vegan t-shirt.
That especially helps when you want to project your veganism without the need to break-down 11 essential amino acids or sources of B12. Sometimes less is more. A vegan one-line statement sported on a t-shirt is an effective way of getting the vegan conversation going and getting the “vegan-curious” to ask you questions to ultimately help then embark on their vegan journey.
Be an advocate for the vegan change we all need with the clothes that you wear! Not only an awesome looking fashion statement, but also an awesome statement of your commitment to being vegan.
Time to shine as you let the world know exactly where you stand!

totally agree David, because most of us are ‘people watching’, and will take in the message, even subconsciously, especially if the person wearing the message looks stylish! Added bonus, vegans usually love bumping into kindred spirits! My favourite spelling it out is ‘Vegan as F-ck!’ and ‘Not your mum, not your milk.’
