10 HOLE DIATONIC BEGINNERS BLUES HARMONICA

Who doesn't like the sound of a well played harmonica? Well, we do! The harmonica has a long history. It’s journey begins in China with an instrument called the Sheng. The harmonica was copied and further developed in Europe during early in the 19th century. The first harmonicas were made in Germany and the best known harmonica manufacturers, Hohner, is still based in Germany.

However, the harmonica is a popular instrument and usually associated with Americans. Why is that? Well, Matthias Hohner introduced the harmonica to 19th century America and this is what really began the image of the harmonica being played by a cowboy, wanderer or slave seeking some entertainment as they cross the huge country. The harmonica was cheap and easy to carry, perfect for a countryman on the move, like. While there were many harmonica types, the most widely used harmonica (at least in Western countries) became the 10 hole "diatonic", as we sell in our store.

And this is the perfect model if you want to get started. Made out of metal with a chrome-plated Copper Board, this harmonica has six keys and is perfect for playing the blues.
